I've seen nobody freak out? Metro's still packed, Town is still heaving, nobody seems to be overly bothered (bar me & pike on here of course) ;)

However put yourself in the position that the exact same media coverage had been rolled out to the general public in regards to a Terrorist threat which was being treat as imminent & would affect every major City in the UK... you'd see a lot less people walking round going about their day to day business.

The 2 cant be compared, there totally different.

Iv'e been up today, had my hair cut, spot of shopping then travelled down to Nottingham on the Eastcoast Train... absolutely nothing out of the norm for this immigrant.

You're taking it far too literally. Obviously there is a massive difference in the level of threat and intent, but the way these type of health scares are blown out of proportion in the papers, seems no different to the amount of coverage and warnings you would find from a terrorist threat. I read in the paper that Newcastle University 'Prepares for worst', as if there's hell on and they're expecting everyone to drop down dead. A lad from work was standing next to me when I read it and told me he'd received a letter from the campus telling everyone not to worry and that everything is fine.

exactly. It's not a conspiracy. Gordon Brown couldn't organise a conspiracy if he tried. It's simply the press bigging stuff up as usual, scares sell papers. bigger the scare, bigger the sales.
The terrorist threat has been similarly over hyped. There has been a terrorist threat for the past 50 years. you have a far greater chance of being killed getting out of bed and putting your socks on(12 died last year from that) than from a bomb.
And flu kills hundreds of people every year. relax folks. there's nothing to see here.
