I was just about to say that I earn nowhere near £100k, but if you take our joint incomes into account, we're doing OK. Not £100k, but reasonably comfortable seeing as we don't have children.

Siemans and nissan are still to my knowledge been granted this massive tax break for bringing industry to the north east,

Half the people claiming dole / benefits do not want to work in fear of losing benefits, and they are probs better off on benefits than they would be on minimum wage.

London is proper overrated, why would anyone want to live there by choice is beyond me. If i had to live down south because of work then I'd get somewhere in one of the towns surrounding London. It is far too packed and everyone is in a hurry. They need to learn to chillax!!!!

i would live as close to the centre as possible, as commuting would be a pain (assuming i worked centrally). My mate live on Marlebone Street, behind Selfridges, and its awesome. Everyone is in a rush tho.

I spend a week down there and its a different world. You get back up to Newcastle on the train, as as soon as you get into the station at 7pm there is someone being sick, some dude hitting his lass, and 5 groups of wankers dressed up, hammered, and shouting at each other (true story).

spend anytime at all in other cities and you realise how shit it is here..haha

A weekend i had last year in a hotel in covent garden (right where that roundabout thing is) was fantastic last year.

If you remove the need to use the public transport there, and have the option of ducking out of the crowds as and when you feel - its actually quite awesome.

Its a shame a weekend cost as much as a flight to Tokyo tho
