Not everyone needs big (massive) name DJ's. I'll sound like a complete arse licker here, but i dont really think about coming to the NE anymore for clubbing, unless its for Habit - a night that started out in a bar, and one where i didnt know naff all about most of the DJ's until it was obvious i could put my trust in people like Danny_Habit to put a good night on.

Case in point, the turn out for the residents night on boxing day (with local DJ's only) was great and one of the best nights i'd had out that year (and that includes going to Fabric and The End down in london).

Theres nothing wrong with looking for figureheads in a musical scene - but the line needs to be drawn when a dj could play the themetune to chorlton and the wheelies over a 140bpm bassline and just as long as he was on the front of mixmag each month, people would still lap it up (Eddie Halliwell anyone?)

As i said, the North east can have a wicked club scene - but it needs to forget about trying to compete with capital cities and less desireable punters.

    (In my opinion)

Regardless of who plays the opening and following parties, I myself and a lot of good friends will be supporting this. A decent trance night, with a decent crowd/atmosphere can, at times, beat any other type of house music hands down.

I love all styles of music but, decent trance music in a good, intimate club =

Good luck with this mate

i'll come to support the night, i dont think the night needs huge names every week, but getting one to kick start things off will be handy to get peoples attention
i'll come and support the night, just don't have it connected to promise at all, alot of people went off the brand as a whole as they felt used by promoters and that the crowd had turned poor, start fresh and things might work :D

I'd support a new trance night. My choices would be:

    John 00 Fleming
    Christopher Lawrence
    Sander Van Doorn
    Matt Hardwick
    Matt Darey
    Markus Schulz

Maybe also some producer nights and live acts.

Some good prog and techno would be nice aswell. ;)

think the most important thing is the atmosphere. digital is slick, other rooms is like premier lodge reception area with the lights off. Foundation was good but a really good nightclub should feel slightly dangerous and sleazy but with a crowd of people in it who are all out for the same good vibe makes a night more than just some name DJ playing, whatever the music policy. Trance works when that atmosphere works. Who the DJ is after that ( as long as they are into what they do and can read a crowd) don't matter so much
