new test for drug drivers

they gonna hav a chart thing and if your pupils r above a certain one or below then apparently u must b on drugs. :spangled: there r loads of reasons why u pupils cud b different sizes.

Your eyes could be different if you were wearing contact lenses instead of glasses

they can go dodgy if uve had them lasered cant they?

I think that would be quite hard to start with. Have you ever tried counting 30 secs or a minute out, more often than not you'll do it too fast or too slow!

I went shopping the other week to the Metrocentre, and picked Rach up from Newcastle on the way back. When we got back she asked if I had been on something as my pupils were really big, I'd never even had a drink all night, and there was no reason why I had bigger pupils than normal, so how could they use that to conclude that you had taken drugs?

i think all the tests are used together to justify them arresting you on SUSPISION of driving while under the influence - then back at the station u get piss tested.

in reality they could nick u for doing owt even slightly dodgy by using the 'suspicion' rule...then clear it up at the station if you're clean with a 'sorry - be on your way' agreement!

Your all being too pedantic. Like Scruf says, ur hardly going to get locked up for life if u fail the test. It'll just be the first stage.

Simple solution is to not drug drive, then u won't get caught.

with booze - the severity of the charge/sentance depends on the LEVEL of alcohol in your system - how is this checked/used in convictions for drug driving?

seems a grey area at the moment, nowhere near as nailed down as alcohol limits.... but i suppose with an illegal drug, it's different.

Theres no way I would pass that walking in a line thing. I cant walk through my room without tripping over myself, or bumping into something. Im too clumsey to pass these tests

i drove back at 12 the next day. i was fine especailly after being sick a few times. and we passed bout 5 police cars who didnt even batter an eyelid at us and everyone else clearly speeding.
