im a bit confused as to why you would buy a mac from using a pc if it wasn't to use something specific like Logic - you could have put cubase on a pc and still used all the apps/vst's you were used to

dual boot would give you the option of either os, i think bootcamp runs one on top of the other

Reason is the the favourite production app i've used for my mac - it's quite heavy going at first but you can do loads with it. Worth a look if you're after something new mate

actually i havnt, but i recently had to start using safari, and after getting over the slightly different things you have to do with it, and why.. i think i would probably enjoy using a mac as well

i would have to get over the hate i have for certain mac users though, which would probably be harder than converting os :)

I dont understand why people buy a mac and then use windows? Surely the whole point in getting a mac is because of its operating system?

if you're using a macbook, tap the touchpad with 2 fingers at same time - gives you contextual 'right click' style menu

Ferry Corsten: I've always been on Cubase ever since the Atari days and it's just what I'm used to. I've always been with that and it works fine with me. I tried Logic once but it didn't really seem logical to me, so I went back to Cubase. <laughing>

one of the best producers about so crack on son and make some hitzzzzzzzzz

Hes saying hes likes Cubase more, not that its better?

You can have the best equipment/software in the world but if you havent got any good ideas then you wont be able to make a good track. Some of the best tracks have been made on a simple drum machine, basic synth and battered old mixing desk yet still sound unreal.

i think its just a case of understanding the workflow on a lot of these programs nowadays, once you get that nailed, you can just get on with being creative - its the steep learning curve that makes or breaks the programs i reckon

i found once i was done with the initial lessons in ableton, that made me want to learn more about the program - before that i thought cubase was good but i had to think about it too much, and prior to that i used to like using cakewalk

of course, everyone is different, so just because your mate works well with something, doesnt mean you will - although having someone to call will be handy when you're tearing your hair out at 3am :)
