msn on works pcs

    i hate it and never use it. How can i remove it from my laptop. My girlfriend has installed it and every time i switch on it appears before anything else. I just want it gone

    if it's XP :

    Right click messenger, open it, don't log in. Go to Tools, options and General - untick 'run when windows starts'. Close it. Right click the icon in the system tray, select exit. It'll be gone and not return - BUT still installed.

    Next, Control Panel, Add/Remove Programs - if it's in the list - uninstall it. ALSO THEN On the left hand column select 'Add/Remove windows components' scroll down, make sure it's gone. if not, uninstall it.

    System Restore off, Reboot - You're rid of the foul chat program/virus spreading filth.

    i can't stick it - but it's good for sending files to Laz or if i have to talk to ketrat :(

    Msn is probably the most unproductive tool you can use at work for the amount of time it distracts you from you work. Some of my mates use it at their employments when working on group projects so it does have it uses but im sure the company could simply use an internal messaging system...
