he doesnt anthem bash as much as he used to when i saw him at gkgg, it was the 5th time id seen him, and his set has quite dark, with more of a techy feel to it still funky in parts, but his sound is changing so what if he's a bit mainstream- he's a party dj, not some achingly cool, obscure deep house dj that its cool to like
I really enjoyed it and so did every one else there by the looks of it, i was totally screwballed though:spangled:
Saw some of his set there - he's definetly changed his style over the last couple of years from that subliminal style. Not a fan of his back-room style discoy stuff he's sneaking in. He's still at his best when he's got a catchy bassline going with a familiar acapella over the top. Gets those grins on the faces!
He was doing something class with Benny Benassi's Satisfaction on saturday. Can't remember what he was playing it alongside though. The resident at Sankey's Soap dropped MC Hammer's U can't Touch this in his warm up - inspired!
ha krysko always seems2 play house versions of hiphop alot as well, wouldnt say i was gutted bout morillo retiring if he does, but he can knock a good party houset set out when required...suprised at how often he plays at sankeys tho, its like every other month almost!
i havnt been down there for a while now im back up here for the summer ya c...never fails to impress really, same as vickers tho2 b honest lookin forward to gettin bk there wen the term starts!
can ya remember the erick morillos bin killed in a car crash" rumour that was circulating at one of our afterparties one morning...??!! how random (and untrue!!) was that lol!! xxx
Morillo looks like an older Kieron Dyer He needs to concentrate on his fucking start to the new season instead of pissing about with subliminal and the likes !
no rach! lol! thqat was YOU txtin us to say morillo had ben killed in a car crash!!! fillin us full of stores tsk tsk tsk he is class tho and can please a crowd no matter wot any1 says!
So can any number of House DJs that don't resort to playing productions only by themselves (Brett Johnson)
