I think there should be mods but only one per forum. I would also like to take the opportunity to volunteer myself if Mark decides he wants mods cos I'm on the board loads

Need to have mods (not too many like last time tho) who will only take action when needed...

No need to go in editing posts "for a laugh" deleting posts cos they dont like em...etc...

Simply use a bit of common sense and dont get power hungry...

I reckon a mod for each forum, as it was back in the day, would be best but as with all things, the effectiveness depends upon the person who is chosen to mod each forum! As long as the right people get to do it not just the people who shout loudest or quickest then it is a good idea! The mods have to be active too, thats why Joe used to be good, if the board was dead he would take it upon himself to get it going again!

Anyway, thats my 2 pence worth!

here's a suggestion....why not take 2 peeps who use the board lots during the day & ask them to b mods & do the same 4 a nite time....

that way if there r complaints made to them about a post or sum1 then they can deal with it quickly & efficiently!!!

use a system devised by the mods &/or mark where depending on the severety of the complaint depends on what happens to the board user..........if they r repeat offenders or causes or complaints wran them 3 times & then ban them & make it so it is not possible 4 them to re-join!!

Just to let you know...... Mark wont be deciding who the mods are, they will be decided by vote.

Message board users will help decide who are the mods, anyone feel free to put your name forward. Whoever gets the biggest vote will made moderator (if they want) and as long as the frequent the board enough.

Deleting or editing threads will only be dealt with if they are reported, I'm not interested in banning people etc though. I think mods will be a good idea for some of the reasons stated in this thread as long as the board remains pretty laid back.
