One day you wont be able to keep up with the 140 bpm. Then you will look for something slower like i did.
yeah i can imagine so. i'm sure it was 160bpm at judgement day upstairs. it isnt big and its definately not clever. but its a bloody good laugh. from that to minimal tho? the speed change would make anyone cack themselves
bleep is ok for all things deep and techy.. they have UR stuff too.. can get a bit absract some of the stuff on the site, but if you follow certain labels and producers you can get some ok stuff http://www.bleep.com/?label=Underground+Resistance
www.whatpeopleplay.com is shit hot....plus they dont have a massive catalogue of digital labels so no need to wade through a billion tracks to find a decentone
probably cos you dont go to the nights that play this stuff there are people who listen to trendy techno 24 hours a day, 7 days a week...they also usually have weird hair cuts and are called Marco
nice one, thats what puts me off about some online stores.. no quality control.. and masses of shit to listen too.. ears/brain goes numb after a while of soundclips.. what ever happened to that thread of online download stores you did? bet half them aren't there anymore clickgroove has gone
who categorizes whether a track is classed as minimal or tech house on WPP??.. fooking tech house tracks are as minimal as the minimal tracks and the deep house tracks are even more minimal than the lot so far lol ffs..lol
the threads right above this one not sure if you know of it but www.dancetracksdigital.com is brilliant if you want more non main room stuff, does plenty of 4/4 aswell
lol.. didn't look at the threads he he yeah been using dancetracks for a year or two now.. Im sure with one or two of their older things in the classic section theyve just recorded off vinyl (or maybe the labels had lost master DATs or something).. I bought a download of Round Five (Basic Channel thing) and Chuggles on Prescription and both had crackles in etc like vinyl.. especially at intro when just a kick drum lol
pikey you can pick up that Round album on amazon for £5, some absolute corkers on there (if you havent got them already obviously) Is that Prescription as in the deep house label? Been wanting to get hold of Trent/Damier - Foot Therapy for ages but its £50 on discogs
I've actually got round 5 - im your brother and chuggles on vinyl but 1. fuck knows which shelf they will be on 2. its quicker to pay for a new download than record it to soundforge and burn to disk, if you just want a few oldies on a CD for the back of the wallet .. this is the chuggles.. its not on prescription here, but its the same version Ive got on prescription vinyl http://www.dancetracksdigital.com/search/?KEYWORD=chuggles
ive got another basic channel thing but its just got a number on it and silver label.. and crackles like fuck, but I think its meant to be like that.. just a repetative stab and a kick drum for 8 minutes. class
I reckon prescription will probably start popping up on WPP seems they are looked after by word and sound now who own WPP.. see links under tracks to distribution http://www.prescriptionworld.org/music.html
It goes up to £3 if you use wavs! But paying for vinyl will always be a lot more expensive then theres delivery on to of it and its pretty costly if you use foreign sites! Ive noticed that its mostly new releases that cost £2 older releases tend to be £1.50 or £1.29.
