that would be a good signing. Liverpool and spurs are still sniffing around him. he's just had a bad season. look at Forlan with Villariella.
Yeah cause if it was Newcastle were playing in the Championship there would be 50,000 there and probably 1.2 million on a waiting list for tickets to get into the ground, as i have said before when you lot sell out every single game you play in please feel free to comment on other teams crowds.
rejected by his german team after 3 starts and sent packing back to the us where he struggled to even find a team, canny bad season that
Be very interesting to see if thats the case next season. lets not kid anyone here when times are hard Newcastle fans are as fickle as any supporters out there.
he left san jose when his loan ran out and signed an extended contract at leveukusen didnt he? the same thing will happen with Kleberson and Kezman in the summer.
he is back in the usa where his former club refused to have him back i heard he was going to sign for dallas
It has been a poor turnout at SOL this year compared to previous League 1/Championship promotion years. I am more than confident our average crowds are among the best in every competition we have played in this season. Check out our FA cup crowd V Championship Coventry and the look at your clubs v Premiership Palace...even Harper said that was a poor turnout.
tbh i havent been keeping up to date with the mls.... i knew pompey were after him last year but leverkusen wouldnt let him go. somthing must have happend though because he was shit hot in the world cup and i think he got player of the season last year in the mls?
Will you be giving up your subscription to MUFC.TV & be buying a Sunderland season ticket instead as they are about the same price.
I have a very full and satisfying life therefore I don't need to go to football matches to feel that I belong.
With you being a Man Utd fan in Sunderland thinking like that will save thousands of £££'s per-season.
Sunderlands crowds next season will be 40,000 + for every home game. I admit the crowds this season havent been as big as they shud but now we are up fans will come back so its all good. The attendance for the fa cup game against Palace was shocking no doubt about that, but so was Newcastles in there quarter final of the uefa cup so it means fook all really. Newcastle and Sunderland both have a hardcore fanbase of around 20,000.
Our all-time average is 30,400* & yours 24,460* both well above the hardcore figure you have stated At moment on all-time average gates we are 7th best & yous are 11th. We will overtake Everton very soon & yous should overtake Leeds & Villa in the all time rankings if yous stay in the Premiership for a while. *=As of 16/01/05
all time averages my arse, Sunderland and Newcastle have a hardcore fanbase who ACTUALLY would go to the games thru thick and thin of around 20,000.
he was great for the earthquakes after being on the sidelines with leverkusen in 99/00. when he went back to leverkusen he expected to start every game but augenthaler only used him as a late sub... when they played liverpool in the champ league he started and was shite so the club lost interest in him. his rep in the usa has fallen too, he was once the golden boy and easily is/was the most talented american player... but now people have said he is a failure, quitting for home after it got difficult + his family are from near LA and 'persuaded' the mls to allow him to go to galaxy cos under the rules he isnt allowed back at earthquakes, even tho he should have joined dallas. his agent said he wouldnt have gone back to mls unless he could join galaxy. theres loads more to this story about how he got to go to galaxy instead of dallas and i have been following closely i world soccer magazine
