I had a right go at some metro staff last night because theres no change machines

I get a corporate pass from work.. its 50% cheaper than what I was paying before!!

£20 is nothing.. pay it and learn ya lesson.. or learn a better technique..

I always pay for one...its not so much for the money its the sheer embarrassment of having to get off the metro publicly and write ur name down. I may sometimes get the cheaper ticket which isnt right as they don't fully check but I always get one,

As long as you've got some sort of ticket you usually should be ok, been a couple of times when i've had a ticket that wasn't strictly valid but they've not looked closely.

They're on about putting barriers back in and getting new ticket machines that are better than the current ones etc, but whether they actually get around to it, have to see

I was on the escalator at Monument the other week, and there were a load of inspectors going down. Some charver at the bottom jumps on the up-escalator and as we passed them yells "aye, what you going to do if I've not got a ticket?!" Inspector: "yeah, they're waiting for you at the top mate"

werd. that is why i pay now. too old to be getting caught.

I rarely pay, not been caught though. It's pretty easy tbh.
