b) people DO try different things. Promise and Shindig and I would hazard a guess all dance nights, have tons of people that are 100% NOT there for a style of music. Pointless to say why they are there...

c) people in the UK do go out to have fun, the Prog Vs Trance or whatever threads on message boards are not the only representation of peoples views

d) I don't really understand what Picotto is doing to try bring people together from these apparently divided genres

?! That's way off the mark too. I came in here to post my opinion compared to his, not to impress the more popular and frequent posters or make enemies for myself. The point of the board is to express opinions (whether they agree with others or not) , not to try and post messages that agree with someone and score points.
