They have a bigger nightclub to fill than Junior G so they can't afford to make losses on DJs with smaller followings, I bet Digital have given tulip a minimum bar spend or something so they need as many as they can get, at the expense of credible lineups.... thats my theory anyways

There is the rumour about PVD of course...

Im going to be truthfull here.
The last time there was any sort of Buzz about going to see Lashes or Tissera was years ago. Granted there legends within the industry but for me it's a very, very poor line-up, theyv'e done nothing for a good few years?
I have a huge amount of respect for Richard & what he's done for the scene up here but im really not sure which direction Evolve is trying to go in here?
It could be so much more, yet for some reason money seems to getting spent of strange line-up's that half fill the club?
If big hitters are gunna be booked, in my eyes, to sucesfully fill a club Digitals size they have to either:

    A) still be at the forefront of their game & unique, offer something clubbers want to genuinly go see?
    B) still the clubbers choice & have the ability to pull an up for it crowd without being 'just a name'.

The backroom would also be so much more if maybe just 1 fairly established name was booked, not nessicaraly a big hitter? either: house, electro, minimal?
I enjoy Evolve but some of the line-up's Iv'e seen have just left me wondering why?

    John Askew?
    Sander Van Doorn?
    Eddie Halliwell?
    Christopher Lawrence?
    Sean Tyas?
    Marcus Schultz?
    Stoneface & Terminal?

...Any of the above for instance would reveal the potential Evolve has? mixing this up with the nubreed, the up & coming Lads/lasses that are doing the business at the minute would see a massive difference!

    Bryan Kearney?
    Activa?
    Mandy reid?
    Thomas bronzwaer?
    Sophi Sugar?

Just my own 10p worth but some of the line-up's have been rather random in my eyes?

Id definately book John Askew, he's only played Newcastle once, and that was the opening night of Junior:G around 14 months ago.

Tyas again has only played up here twice, since his profile has went massive, a lot of people would have maybe missed him the 1st time he played Junior:G due to not knowing him?
The 2nd time was for Promise on NYD, he must have played to abot 50 people that day. he'd go down a storm somewhere like Digital.

The others, granted, your average clubber may not know them, thats why I think Evolve would be so much better booking a credible headliner & run the up & coming artists alongside them. Some of the best DJ's Iv'e seen over the years have been when my intentions were going to see the headliner & a no named DJ has totally blown me away.
I personally think it would work so much better. Those were just a few examles, the list is endless with the Nubreed thats out there at the minute?

wasn't a dig at any of you's lads, when I read back & thought what I said could have maybe been taken out of context, the back room DJ's Richards booked are all more than capable of their duties & established in the cities there residents at, again like the main room the Nubreed in the back room would work so much better with maybe 1 big name or fairly established producer. Will look forward to see what you's lot have up yer sleeves anyways:)

...And maybe the fact he's one of the best producers on the scene in trance?
I doubt he'd stand a chance getting booked on the basis he's a sound bloke? however a 2 hour meet & greet session @ Evolve may work?
