Might not pull a huge crowd but it wouldn't cost half as much (I guess) either. What about Rich tho, he is local and ressie!!!

It seems like next year is gonna be good.

On a personal note for next year I would like to see Promise change a bit, a lot of the nights this year were quite the same for me and although this worked well for most of the year it has started to lose its appeal/specialness towards the end of the year for me. If the format of the nights changed and a few of the DJs weren't booked quite so often I don't think this would happen.

I like the idea of local talent being featured a bit more next year, the nights with Kerry and Lee seem to have been exceptional this year and I hope this kind of thing carries on into next year.

Anyway, enough from me, I know shit anyway! :dunce:

I think that a trance classics night once a month will be too much, the last trance classics was absolutley class IMO,everyone planned for weeks what they were goin to wear where they were goin to stand...blah blah..that night just felt really special..

but doin it once a month wil be over doing it because people look forward to the Trance classics.

Great idea doing the the once a month big name DJ's like Fergie jules, tiesto PVD etc...it will raise alot of cash for yourselves ,and so will trance classics..Oh and not forgetting the ressies night..that wil be one of the best because we have undoubtfully some of the best ressies in the country IMO.

All i can say is i hope Promise really gets things going and will trun into one of the best club nights in the country (Not far behind already)

I will be goin to promise every week starting from the new year hopefully, because thats the club i love and i wouldnt want it to go down the pan..

Keep it up mark..you seem like your going in the right direction.

    :D

Paul Gaarn varies but now he usually plays acid techno (not mauro type stuff - could see it going down muy bien @ hard but maybe not normal) and simon eve used to play tough funky hard house he's now fused this with the NRG sound.... I'd say both are a tad to hard for promise - I'd guess they've done trancier set for the recoverworld site as its a hard trance label/night :D

I'm impressed! I like the way you're diversifying Promise's nights.. it's a good formula which Simon Foy and Alan Belshaw have run with Inside Out and Freefall and by making each week different it can only do good for the club :) I'm also glad to see that local talent is going to be featured more this year.. with the success of the DJ competition I'm sure it's highlighted several excellent DJ's (i have to say the standard of the competition has been excellent and it was a pleasure to take part)
But the masterstroke here is the Vs Nights you have planned .. it'll give people a glimpse of what some of the other clubs around the country sound like .. I'm already looking forward to Promise vs IO :D

Roll on 2003... looks like good things are coming :)

I like it.. you local corner-shop club! :D

It's true.. Promise fills a need for quality clubbing on my doorstep and before it i was travelling elsewhere to the big nights get my clubbing needs fulfilled. But Promise is in that league now.. excellent line-ups week-in week-out and it's a pleasure to have it here in Newcastle :)
