i didnt make comments on exact numbers

i expressed my opinion on the attic as a club - and i dont like it

and as a side issue we've seen your true colours on here now

dont try and make out that i am somehow trying to get above my station - i AINT

i think you overestimate your importance 'mate'

FOR THE RECORD, DONT come on here being unprofessional with ME and spiralling an argument into other areas and expect everything to be oh so cool

AND dont dismiss me helping you out flyering last year as some kind of nothing episode - the amount stuff i had to sort out that night to get out and help you is nothing short of ludicrous - and lets face it it was crucial that PAUL VAN DYK WAS FLYERED it was the biggest gig that month!!!!!!!!and then you never paid me what you said you would , not that it was 4/5 of f**k all anyway and the guesties you said were there for 2 mates at the next event didnt exist when they turned up and they had to haul you out the club to sort it out -NICE 1

so if we are dealing with facts , check where you are going with yours before you kick off and put them in print

dont worry re: the other stuff, i will check all this out

end of the day you are very well know as an internet warrior by all parties concerned.

Lol you have a very short memory, I gave you money outside the Strawberry pub mate. MOS & his missus got their guesty for JNR G also..... again your incorrect.

I never wanted to come on here & have a go Melt but your remarks are ridiculous, saying nights wont work when you've never been to them & that I better keep my mouth shut as you've booked me when you haven't??

Im not trying to come on here being Mr Important, you've tried to have a dig at a night you've never even been to! then backed it up with tosh?

YES, youve answered your own question

    (1) you berated me for not being outside a club

    namely recycled and/or exhibit a.

and (2) then in the next breathe say wouldnt you get people to do exit flyering?

hello????, i PAID people to take up the slack on exit flyering when i cant get to a certain event as i only have one pair of arms

and my life isnt going to end for not being at habit or jaunt

for some inane reason youve read into my post that I somehow want the smaller nights to fold , I dont

but equally i dont want the likes of freaky dancing or other long running and excellent nights to be squeezed by people who think they will all jump on the techno bandwagon for 6months

as i said , for the punter shorterm its great but in 2 years time it wont be so great when the cool cats have moved onto gabba / speedcore or the latest craze and left the techno scene in a poorer shape than they found it

you would ask the same questions if there were a host of trance nights sprang up to compete with what you were doing,

Jesus Melt, you flyered for me once last October or November I think it was, 1 night only, you got paid for it, I cant even see why you'd bring this up Lol?

You said there were too many nights that are putting each other out "THAT YOU REGULARLY ATTEND & FLYER" you dont regularly do either which is the point I was trying to make?

Speaking as someone who was actually THERE, i just feel like the issues that they had feel more like growing pains of a night that has tried to hit the ground running .... unfortunately when we're talking about 12 quid entry and very big name dj's you are taking large risks and face alot of flak if it doesnt come off..... which it didnt... slightly.

Obviously im not a club promoter, and personally i wouldnt have the balls to take the risks myself ..... but maybe such a high stakes game is not the place to start. Without wanting to wank the Habit boys and dj's off too much, they did at least start off in a bar, and then booked dj's that werent going to cost a small fortune (im assuming)...... so at least if it all went pearshaped then a punter can walk away and not be so arsed about losing 4-5 quid.

At 12 quid entry prices, people expect more than an 'experiment in club promotion'..... which is a fair thing to say.

Having said that all, i do appreciate the effort and the booking, and hope that the next one runs flawlessly.

mate you gave me 15 quid of the 20 i was owed, it cost me 5 quid to come and collect it in town and 5 quid petrol on the night
    so ten quid nice!

    next question,

man of science got his guesty only after demanding that you come to the door, i didtn say he didnt get it, but he turned up and him and his guest wernt on the list, do you want me to get him to come on here and put the facts straight, cos it will only take 1 phone call

I havent tried to have a dig at a night ive never been to

read back the info: I say i dont like the venue, thats my opinion, and ive been in the attic , even after refurb enough times to know i dont like it just like i dont have an affinity with digital

i actually respected the booking - beyer class booking, i fail to see how thats dissing the night, in actual fact I offered nick adams the chance for me to do some of their postering when i bumped into him in head of steam, thats how his number is now in my phone

i am making an observation on how many nights are chasing a particular style / scene and how the flooding of the market will be its downfall - do you not get that point????

and to be fair its rather politically brash of you to start giving it the old heave ho about how you were booked to play kidstock from last year, great i am pleased for you, i am sure it will assist in your quest to be the new mr halliwell

but in the same sentence youve as good as said f**k you to the fact you are playing in the tent / area listed as detox - nice one dude nice one, thats going to sit great with all the detox djs playing before / after you on 16th aug

    befo
re you upset all your ever dimishing circel of allies i would requote something I said to some other affilaites of ours several months ago, i would urge you to wind it in / up

otherwise you will end up going on ignore with the other magic 6
who have that honour so far

And life would be a lot better if you just let people get on with their own nights, whilst you get on with yours.

the only thing that needs 'Detox'ing is you patter on this board....

I am bringing this up as you are spiralling an innocent quote off into kiddstocksvile and making out you are holier than thou plus your tone suggests that i somehow have to be seen by you at all of these venues to have been there

i would suggest the route of pm's if you have issues on any of these areas???

i do honestly believe that dave and gary should get together for a pint somewhere in town, have a chilled out and civilised discussion about the newcastle clubbing scene. I'm sure within about half an hour you could understand each others point admirably, as there seems to be alot of misunderstanding of opinions and points on the board as sometimes views are clearly being totally misinterpretated.

IMO newcastle clubbing has improved vastly over the past couple of months as in the amount of choice and the quality of the djs being booked, only time will tell after the ibiza and festival season whether this remains the case.
