i heard they'd written 7 or 8 series - depending on how they go with the ratings

I think the confusion here is they originally planned 3 series but after the success of the first they are trting to expand the storylines... so it might be 7 or 8..

Watched ep8 last night, it was a pretty decent episode. It's eventually starting to tell the story of what happened with the hatch when it blew up, rather than just the story with Jack, Kate and Swayer being held prisoners.
