I think the island is only behind them if you go through the right co ordinates to it. If you go in a different way which i presume the dead body did then it may of been ahead. :spangled:

Also, maybe they've known about Locke because they can travel back in time somehow and go to him. They've obviously wanted him there and that's why he's been told to go on that trip to australia.

Also, the guy who came to see locke as a child, is it one of the others from series 3? The ones who came out of the jungle when Ben was a kid? He looks familiar!!
