Mclaren should deffo drop Lampard and play Gerrard and Hargreeves in the middle. Lennon is good but he's still really young and if he comes up against a decent left back then he can be quiet for the full game.

I wish McClaren would grow some balls and drop Lampard. He cannot possibly need anymore proof that him and Gerrard cannot play together. We're desperate for hargreaves to get back.

Regardless of how many goals Crouch has scored for England he is not that answer upfront. He changes our style of play too much and it leads to the majority of our 'team' launching 40 yard passes to him which he fails to do anything with.

And what happened to McClaren preaching about how he wanted us to get the ball WIDE?? Ahh I know, i'll play with no left sided players!!! Admittedly we had Bridge and Cole out but he had Barry sitting on the bench for 70 minutes when he's been outstanding for Villa this season.

I'd also drop Gary Neville, as much as I rate him as a right-back I think he breaks up our play far to much at times by putting crosses in from the halfway line...i'd start with Richards...he's prepared to overlap whoever we've got on the right a lot more than Neville and he's much more of a threat.
