i was just in HMV b4 lunch, having a listen to plenty, and these things annoyed me ;

1) decks set to +8 - some HH 16yr old been havin in on the decks b4 me
2) lad next to me, listened to a pile of tidy records, from start to finish, constantly messing with the speed control.... from +8 to -8... back to +8... to -8... for the full length of the track!! i 'skim' thru a record, listening to crutial bits properly. but i don't stand and listen for 9mins of the whole tune!
3) scratching - why? once or twice, if needed to see how it would work.. but not all the way thru while grinning at your pubeless mate next to you. (not me!)
4) headphones on one ear, propped on your shoulder - are u DJing to a live crowd? trying to look cool. put them on properly so u can hear it properly.


i must be getting old.. ah.. it is my birthday in 4 weeks

i was in the other day and their were a couple of rajis on the deck next to me, i took the headphones off for a minute and overheard one of them going, here mate this is what ive been on about, TURBO TRANCE i started pissing myself laughing but trying not to be noticed, they had dj sammy for some reason pitched up to +8.
another lad came up to me asking what i was looking for randomly, i went agghh just browsing they dont sell much techno, he went oh aye i play new monkey techno

i think thats what was going down in 'the pig' the other week when we were there.... 'out of the blue +8 styleeeeee'

haha that place is a discrase, we walked past once and heard loops and tings so had a look, we acually thought they had a creditable night on for once, as soon as it started filling out came the turbo trance lol
faster means better didnt you know mate

There's a few not so good tunes on but still a load of good ones, I like spiderweb- think that's on both of them tbh
