Last Night....

marcel was fantstic and guy was good to

and the banter afterwards thanks to jane and co for letting us back

and also graham for demolisihing 3 or more gram of chilli powder

wasnt upset to be fair on sat wil have meories and stuff but it aint as if im not goin to be eeing my mates anymore and there more important like

I had a canny night like WHEN i wasnt being sick, then the cheeky twat in the bog tried to charge me for it ?!?!

The tunes from Marcel were canny when i realised he was on, Ornadel played some stilton but he always does - i cant complain about his mixing like - where's the bass line ??

The afters was quality, cheers to Jane/Wot/Fran/Bella - i had to take a half day today cos im done in like, i will be ok once i stop sweating and feeling like shit - think i cant hack the pace anymore like to be fair.

I had a good night like. I'd have preferred if the original set times were kept because once ornadel took over and bashed some edam on I just stopped still and found it really hard to get back into the swing of things after Marcel had me jumping all over the place. I was chuffed when the cosmic gate remix(?) of punk was on followed by some more harder classics like firewire though

Tune of the night for me was Cherry Blossom I'd been waiting for it.

Nice to meet a few more people although I can't say i recognised many people apart from kenzil

As for that 'disabled' bloke. I've seen him in there before with the same old hopping on one foot dance. He's just off his tits i think you could tell by his rubber face drowning in sweat. I've seen him outside of Digital after stonelove before and he looked normal and could even talk I don't *think* he's disabled. Lets hope not cos I kicked him up the arse after he'd backed up into me a few times whilst bending right over and for a good half an hour there was a crowd around him getting pics etc I have proof! (merlin )

Having a good laugh and I have a pic of you both. I'll get the pics when i can be arsed. There was a ring of people around him in stitches. Was the lad who posed for a pic as if he was mounting him from this board? I never caught any names like. We had bottle tops balancing on his head n all sorts.

Quality night!

Was brilliant to see so many out off here, including all the ones who hadnt shown their faces in ages.

Caught the last bit of Antons set. Sounded good. Was upstairs for the meet-up, so missed most of it though. Met a few new people up there - Marce, Dan, Chandler and his missus, Lee and LeeTheMackem.

Caught the first 45 mins, and last 15 mins of Marcels set. Was better than i thought it would be, but not my bag at all.

Saw an hour of Pete upstairs while Marcel was on. Played some really good stuff. Was loving a couple of the JLC remixes.

Then Guy came on and rinsed the club for an hour. Just played exactly what we all needed to hear for the last ever Promise. Wasnt so impressed with his secong hour, which was mostly unrecognisable borderline hard-trance. Then he played some better stuff at the end like Silence and Wide Open Space.

Didnt get my 'arrow' or 'P' that i wanted (the ones above the bar looked so accesible). I even asked Rob if could have one. He said i could try but the bouncers may kick the shit out of me, and he wouldnt help. They were lookin a bit too menacing, and i had just seen one take the 'Shindig Shovel' off a confused looking Miller.

Enjoyed the last 20 or so extra minutes. Everyone standing looking towards the front and clapping. A few tears were spotted!

After banters was spot-on at Princess Towers. Cheers to Jane. I only stayed till about 830am, but ive been feeling rotten ever since. Think it was time for Promise to end, cos im getting too old for it!

For me iyts always been the people and the banter who really make Promise. Its why ive kept going despite the music policy moving away from my taste. Cheers everyone for a great 5 1/2 years!
