What you and Tranced were talking about had absolutely nothing to do with running a night, it was over invented musical terms.

And no, you can't really because you've just banned Tranced and Mad Chris for it.

Me next and I can't see my posts being here much longer neither.

    Bastard delete button.

Ideally for me it would be prog followed by trance....and then some more trance! Unfortunately that would probs mean a smaller crowd tho!

People seem to be arguing about how the music should flow in order to keep the venue busy.

    All wrong.

At the end of the day, people around here in general dont stay out very late - And tweaking the music isnt going to fix that in my humble opinion. You see people walking around town dressed up for nights out from 5-6pm in Newcastle, wheras down where i live - things dont get busy till 10-11pm and thats probably why the clubs shut at 7-8am.

You have to make the best of the time you have, which is probably up till about 3am when the majority of people get tired and will go home no matter how good the music was. The only people who stay till the end are not the average person through the door i wouldnt assume.

I like the few bits of techno ive heard at promise, having said that, im glad they werent the final sets of the night - it doesnt feel right to end things so HARD,.... so bringin the pace down a step flows nicely i reckon.

Always stay to the end . It's the best way. Theres always someone worth seeing at the end of Promise so why go home? If people paced themselves they'd be fine.
