nail on the head. it can't be done.. techno is always last. not because it's best or anything, but when you're used to dancing to grooves/funk and then go back to dancing to the same beat with a melody over it, it just doesn't work.

that's the only way i can describe why.

Agreed on what you said about Sheridan.... and its a good step forward :) :)

but if Techno at the end drives the masses home, surely techno in the middle of the night would do the same thing?

i think the dance floor emptied somewhat after hardwick when the techno started.

you hear trance get in the mood for trance then you hear techno........ get in the mood/'groove' for techno, if more trance comes on it just seems like a step back....... cant get back into trance after it.

    This is me though.

 Just like Rich Tulip in days gone by, it was Sheridens job to continue where Anton left off, the whole night should be a progression.

You're right, it does, but the techno in the middle sent people home anyway. I noticed a small chunk of the crowd went home when they heard Petre's style. I love techno, but alot of trance fans fucking hate it. I did for ages myself, you have to go through that stage in musical puberty before you can appreciate it.

However I said I think it sounds wrong having prog trance/techy trance, harder techno then going back to trance/techy trance.

I know I'm only young and blah blah blah, but I think me Chris and Miller are right. Techno sounds more in place last, it's the last leg in a progression (like Mack said the night should be) through a dance night that covers several genres.

well said, I'm backing out of this one. Mark has a more experience at this sort of thing and is clearly doing something right.

    I just play records me

Yeah but Mark's a promise promoter, his job is to keep the club filled.

From his position, he's doing the right thing.

thats not true tho, to some people its just a load of repetitive noise, u cant say that everyone will one day get into techno cos it doesnt happen.
