    Shearer was a 10 goals a season man until he joined Blackburn. Where he suddenly became a 30 a season man.

    Saying that, Smith will never score as many as Shearer. But played as a line-leading down-the-middle striker, for a decent team, he would be a 20 a season man.

    If you look through his sendings off most of them are totally unjustified..

    when he got sent off for england he got heavily criticised but the truth he had been the only decent player in that game.. if everyone had put as much effort in as he did we would have won by a street

    He should have been banned by the FA for the bottle throwing incident. Cantona was, only difference being he used his boot and not a bottle.
