Every student accomodation I have lived it has been in the contract for the landlord to make sure the house is suitable for the next tenants... most places hire cleaners themselves and only expect minimal cleaning by tenents. Its not as if we had all the resources available to make the place perfect is it?

We did clean ALL our dirt up and still got threatened with losing part of our deposit. It was in better shape than when we moved in and we even painted the property and refurbished it. The landlords are known to be dodgy.

just photos of stained carpets/iron burns/wall marks/etc yesterday.. wil sort the rest 2nite...

I got £160 back from £250 last year but the carpet in the front room had to be replaced and they needed to hire professional cleaners for the place because we left it a bit of a mess. Students eh?

Just been to the estate agents and told them about all the shit that dickheads put us through, found out we weren't even supposed to be dealing with him but should have done it thru them, and all his properties have been removed from their books!!!!!!!!!
