    As far as I'm aware, it is illegal to download them in the first place. They don't even have to be burnt on to cd.

    The thing I don't understand about this whole situation is that obviously we've had ways of copying and recording information for years so why the big fuss now? Why are films shown on tv for people to record on to video? Is that not a breach of copyright too? Why sell recordable cassettes, if they're not to be used for recording music off the radio etc? Is that not a breach of copyright? It just seems to me like the whole thing has been blown entirely out of proportion. There was talk of banning cd-rw drives previously, but why don't they do the same with video recorders, cassette recorders? I just find the whole situation very very confusing!

    well the law is coming over here soon that the americans have but thats who make these mp3's sites the bloody americans i bet
