Most poeple who played hardhouse or trance a year ago play hardstyle or Hardhouse and think its techno.

He is well past his best to fair but at least he plays proper techno tracks.

The usual thing of loads of poeple saying they would go to the night then when the next big thing like minimal came along it turns out they were not into techno after all.

Missed velvet at the dig as i thought it would be a watered down experince and i don't like dodging all the steriod freaks who go.

Not sure what you're problem is... VICE club has 2 rooms with completely different styles of music. Room 2, Trance and Techno, is an opportunity to showcase local talent who play either trance or techno. Room 1 opens with electro, and builds up through the night with a hard dance finish. We're certainly not 'billing' ourselves as a Techno night, but the amount of quality techno mixes we received from local D.J's was overwhelming, hence why we are showcasing that talent in room 2.

Poeple like Fergie before he went minimal and followed that new trend.

I am not naming local dj's as there is no point and can not be arsed to piss poeple off.

To me techno does not have 3 min trance like break downs. Or hard House Rifts.

Plus being techno dj is not just playing loads of banging records that all sound the same because there easy mix.

I think what 909 is trying to say here is in reference to the amount of nights that insert electro / techno / glitschy glatschy blah blahblah minimal descriptives about their respective nights in the vain hope they may pull some of the techno electro crowd when in reality they are musically about as far away from those styles of music as can be.

I prefer a rave where you can hear all types of music under one roof: forget pidgeon holing

I like all kinds of music mate as you know from disco to gabber with fleetwood mac inbetween.

If i am in the mood i love banging music plus it helped that tara was nice to look at.

Just moaning as there seems to be very little in newcastle representing all the other forms of techno other than minimal at the moment.

Just wish i could go back to Voodoo or the orbit around 1998 again.
