Whats the crack with having 5 DJ's on in the main room recently??

Having 5 DJ's in 5 hours either means that everyone is getting an hour - or more realistically the headliner gets 90 mins leaving someone with a 30 minute set (usually the resident)

Fair enough if it was actually a 3.30/4am finish but i know from what the owner/doormen have said they need to shut the club at 3am on the dot because of flats above, unless they have a 4am licence which they had at the birthday as a one off.

I would personally see 1 less DJ with all DJ's getting a bit longer set - like it always used to be last year.

Yeh i noticed they were on a right one on friday, I sometimes dont know what there problem is with them, sometimes there fine then some months there throwing everyone out for no apparent reason:spangled:
It's not as if there fights all the time or the night brings trouble to the club, I think iv'e only ever seen 1 scuffle in the whole 13 months it's been on?

Needless to say I was devastated when he came up & grunted: "make this your last 1, were closing early" Iv'e spoken with the goodgreef guys and were not gunna push for a late closing any longer as it interferes with peoples sets when they decide to close early.

Iv'e waited so long to see John back up here, the place was dead last time him & O'bir were on, should go 'reet off' next month!:D :D

what kind of moron lives in a flat above a nightclub anyway!! closing at 4 instead of 3 is hardly going to make much difference , if you are still awake at 3 then another hour isnt going to even be noticed

Nail on head mate, like you say it's fine if the club keeps it's promise on closing times but recently it hasn't?
Goodgreef will stick to the usual 3am closing then it guarentee's everyone an hour each next month without anyone getting half inched.
Id like nothing more than to be able to play an hour & half etc... sometimes it suits the night, but occasions like this id love to see John get 2 hours.

Like carson said, its Roid Rage probably. i fuckin hope it stays open later, i stayed the whole duration of the night and it didnt seem to be long enough

you should really have a go at the manager of the ballrooms, its his shout at the end of the day, you keep him sweet - it stays open till 4. (hopefully)

the doorman dont have a say when the club should close, they are there for security reasons only, and thats about it. unless the manager is one of the doormen - then you can ignore them if they dont have the word from the manager/owner.

what company does the doors at the ballroom?

best thing to do is to just advertise it as 3 and then if it goes on later then everyone there will be buzzing

Newcastles closing times are a fookin joke anyway

I was sitting outside a normal pub at 3am on Friday night ffs

I'm not aware of anyone living above the club?

If you want a 4am license it is available, you just need to pay extra for bouncers etc.

Im not sure weather or not it's directly above the club or above the chinese/ but they told us that people do live above? not sure if it's bollox or not?

In my honest opinion the ballrooms is a lost cause, it's mainly the doorstaff that is slowly but surely ruining the night.
Friday as I stated before, was the worst iv'e ever seen them. I was stood at the door along with one of the girls that works for goodgreef & the short space of time id stood there they must have hurled about 10 clubbers out, searching them at the doors then calling the Police.
Junior:G has been going for 13 months now & never brings any sort of trouble to club that I have witnessed. The crowd is well up for it, relaxed & there for a good time. Granted people get smashed, it's a given thing in any club, but as long as your not trying to sniff a line off the doormans id card or causing trouble I never see why they feel the need to go on like they do?
They were pacing round the club blatantley looking for trouble? they were a total nightmare.

Iv'e never seen a club in my life where the doorstaff hold such power over nights that are ran at a club? calling the shots & closing early at their descrecion would be unthinkable in any other nigtclub?

Like the above comments they are there for security etc... not to continuosly pick people out the crowd search them. One guy got searched on friday as I was stood at the door, granted he looked a little worse for wear, but the doorman had searched him & found nothing, when they relised this, he turned round & threw him out stating he didnt like his attitude anyways? it was rediculous.
