I remember the days when you and smurf would save the scene together, richie would do anything to help detox (be its lending you disco gear or his girlfriend), when stephen would rally up a rave army to lick their own eyeballs at your parties and I even remember when Jimi would rather date a pakistani woman than miss a detox rave.

MoS I've just returned from Israel and their 50 years struggle doesn't compare to the nucastle poster/club/melt wars... It changed me - I'm all about peace now (unless you're a Palestinian).

* i dont ever remember trying to save the scene together, smurf djed for us when we asked him, we have never set out to ruck with him

** richie didnt loan us disco gear, he offered to help us sometimes with gigs and 99% of the time I covered petrol money for flyer / rig drop offs - whihc we were always grateful of

*** stephen never rallied a rave army, i think he's been to 2 detoxes tops , and those were when trance lineups were on
the real story is his mates screwed us both over by thieving tickets and not paying him. 2-3 gigs in 6 and half years - hmmmm

**** jimmi has split up with his girlfriend, i dont know the facts I just know he aint that comfortable being around her and her mates that go to detox, he will always be welcome at detox tho
in fact he was at the last one why dont you ask him!?????

in the scheme of things nucastle board is rather gash like

however, dont ask me to roll over and take a load of abuse whether its on a message board or not, be it whether its from people who have helped me or not

some of these people who are the biggest dissenters have taken more (from) than they have given (to) detox

in recent years theres plenty of nights that have went down the pan because of internal fighting.

when we see insidious actions / behaviour we make sure the people starting it off / behind it then have nowt more to do with the night....its a simple philosophy and one that has ensured the night keeps running

if people have got any more banter in relation to this I suggest they demob to the detox thread
