Because you implied that everyonewho liked Jules had no idea about the clubbing scene etc. Thats a big generalisation. I realise ur not stupid tho, I just thought that particular comment was. Oh, and just wait until Rachel sees this!
I didn't think Jules did have any REAL FANS left that knew squat about music the reason I made that statement was because I realised that there were people out there that still like Jules for his music and not just cos he's a radio 1 dj!!! I wasn't saying that anyone who had made a comment on here was blind to the clubbing scene because I don't think any of you are!!! I don't know which trance dj's are popular and which aren't I didn't think Judge Jules would come that high in anyones estimations cos I've seen him and thought he was quite poor! But thata probably cos I don't know what I'm talking about when it comes to Trance
eh? maybe if 1) they're young and stupid 2) are new to clubbing - but once you've got some experience and know the scene - u go for the music/crowd u like - not just because 'X' is on - UNLESS u like them and their style.... why just go cause u know the DJs name? unless you've heard good things about him/her and you're looking to broaden your experience.... i would class jules soley as a trance DJ either... maybe thats because of his more comercial side.....
jules will always have a special place in my heart lol!!! hes one of the nicest most charismatic people i have eva met, hes an absolute star and although there has bin the odd dodgy set, i blame that quite a bit on the fact that there were no good tunes aroound at that particular time... jules has made clubbing and clubbing memories what they are for me and although i am less obsessed as i once was i will neva hear a bad word said against him, everyone you speak to will say they've heard class sets from jules, hes totally mint and i love him.... and im also waffling on slightly....lol!! but anyways, yeah cant wait for the end of the month anyways!! hes a pleasure to watch IMO and its a million times better seeing jules animated behind the decks smiling n doing funny class things that seeing half the djs that are kicking about these days that stand there with a face like a smacked arse....aaahhh anyways i will stop my senseless babbling!! xxxx
im not his biggest fan musically like, liked him a few year ago but my tastes have 'matured' since then have seen him play some good sets though, anyone remember his 3hr set at promise a few year back?? he also brings more people to the scene than any other dj. everyone winges about people who come to see jules who know him as 'that bloke off the radio' and slate the crowd he pulls in, though them people are likely to come back to clubs if they have a good time. thats how i started clubbing, seeing him at the uni bowt 4/5 year ago, than first came to promise shortly afterwards cos id had a really good night. even if im not too keen on some of the more commercial stuff he plays, for the above reason alone ive got loads of respect for him!!!
