Im not his biggest fan, there are lots of DJ's I would rather see instaed of him. The problem with Jules nights is that it attracts all the beer boys.
no comment. nah hes k.. hes like pearce tho in the way that he doesnt try to make himself look like a groundbraking dj.. you dont go to see jules an expect him to play an earth shattering set like u would if u went to see i dunno.. sasha or tenaglia for example.. peeps slag him off but think they miss the point sometimes.. imho.. you get what ya see.. its kinda inoffensive.. wouldn't mind hearin one of his funky sets tho...
damn right. u gotta respect what he's done for the whole scene. u may not like what he plays but there's no need to slag him cause he's more mainstream and popular.
He was the first 'proper' dj I went to see tho and think its the same for a few people cos he's so well known. After that you start getting into other DJ's that play the style you prefer
His funky sets are great, he plays the tunes he knows the crowd want to hear, he positively rocked the back room in Eden on a few occassions this summer, as did Eddie.....
i've caught one of his ahem... "funky" sets before @ judgement sunday. i'd rather not catch another one.
I dont like him and have never enjoyed one of his sets. Gutted hes on twice within a week at Promise. But....woteva pleases u
wen i seen him at the Sugarshack in September i expected to go and hear lots of cheese, wen infact i and many others were proved wrong. He was up for it, wasnt lazing around what he was doin at i had an enjoyable night to say the least.
cant diss him for that to be fair to the guy - its a radio broadcast - he will be prompted to say it or briefed beforehand on how much he has to say it.... thats how radio works...plugs and advertising.. he doesnt do it when dj'in normally in clubs etc
He isn't on the Boat my dear!! I don't mind the Judge TBH! He isn't a groundbreaking dj or anything, but he entertains the crowd. I think some people just hate him because of where he is, and no matter if he played the best set they have ever heard (not very likely I know ) they would still state they had a shit night!
he gets far too much stick!!he does an excellent job at getting lts of people into clubbing, most people would say the first dj they went to see was jules!!! my taste has changed so he isn't a dj i would like to see anymore but he plays a totally different style to what i like!still plays some good tunes though! and i daren't slag him off incase rachel sees!
Judge Jules - the AOL of the DJ World. Everyone loves to hate him - 99% of them just hate him cos they think they should!!!! Ive heard him n seen him play sum cracking sets and some bad sets....like any normal human being really! It isnt cool to hate him kids...get over it
ive seen him play some excellant sets and he does a lot for the scene. more people go to see him dj, and as a result end up following the dance scene as a result. just look at all the 'who was the first dj you saw' posts... im willing to bet a large majority were shown the ropes by good old judge... i have nothing but respect for the guy... heard some not so good sets... but also heard some corkers and that combined with his massive contribution to the scene makes him in my eyes one of the greats. :groovy:
only got as far as here whilst reading this thread but no doubt i'll be adding more when i get further through it!! and to rie ya;'s wil be in big trouble cos if anyone does slag him off i'll knock ya's all out hehe!! he loves playin at promise totally and he is totally a great guy hes one of the bestest nicest ppl eva!!! anyways s'cuse me whilst i go and read the rest of this thread....!! xxx
