I'm a primary school teacher and i adore my job! :)

I'm currently teaching year 6, pretty stressful at the moment as the children are preparing for thier SATS and my children 'must' get their levels to keep the image and value added of the school right :(
I am also the PE co-ordinatior and after school clubs co-ordinator

In the next 10 years, I aim to be working as a happy classroom practictioner, possibly abroad....in fact i had an interview for a job in Marbella yesterday....fingers crossed i get it!!! I don't see myself as a Head at all  you become a manager and not a teacher....

    :king:

I'm a Financial Planning Manager at HSBC. Mainly doing mortgages and associated insurances at the moment but have been slowly getting into investments and pensions. Only got into it by fluke but quite enjoy it, would like to get more into the investments/pensions side of it and eventually go independant but that's a long way off.

I'm a risk management consultant at an energy consultancy. I'm brought in by large energy users (min £8 million spend a year) to establish their appetite for risk, how they should buy energy dependent on that appetite, and set structures and limits around how to manage the risk associated with how they are purchasing.

Do you need to do a masters for that? What was your undergrad degree in? I bet you could apply for some environmental consultant positions and get one - so many people are doing Transport Planning MScs at the moment when they really don't need to, as Transport Planners are in high demand - I did a Geography degree and walked into the job, it's really basic and once I get chartership (5 years down the line) I'll be laughing :D

I did geography too. I wanna get into oil and gas, minimum requirement is a masters I'm told. Dunno if thats actually true cos I ain't applied yet - I can't apply for those types of jobs here because of the visa I'm on. Might be worth a shot when I come back though. Masters degree is good if you wanna emigrate to Australia/New Zealand/Canada anyway - you virtually get straight in.

You aint wrong there mate. Also their engineers are fuckin terrible down south from what ive seen (i dont work for ideal directly).

I got told to change a heatex on a boiler down there... so i did, by the time i filled my sheets out the pressure was up through 3-4bar, wife told me that always happened, so i checked the expansion vessel, it was knacked and that was the problem all along.

the engineer who had been before me said, "when the pressure goes up like that, let some water out of the radiators, its fine"

dunno how they get away with it lol
