    i doubt any team would make the same mistake as leeds, atleast it shows middlesbrough are wanting to build a succesful team, newcastle play things too safe, i doubt we will ever win the premiership because whilst we improve our side marginally every season other sides are making great additions to theirs. And at the moment i dont think our squads gonna be up to anything next season, thats my opinion tho. :)

    Boro's finances are tightly controlled, as are most premiership teams... especially in the current shaky financial climate. I think teams like arsenal, man u and chelsea will be in control at the top for a while... maybe a liverpool, newcastle or even boro, villa etc could challenge for champs league with a bit of luck. I just cant see any team improving enough to compete with the top 3 tho :)
