Sascha Dive is shit hot on the production side at the mo and his mix that was posted on here is top stuff too.

It's on a week before I go to Ibiza, but I'll do what I can to get to this.

yeah they have booked in every friday but we already had the bookings for the 12th sorted and dj sorted before they decided to start that night so we still have that date then guna see what happens but mite have to move venue for our next night in november

Went well again mate, good crack all night and all the lads played a blinder! Junior Lopez was mint, little man = Big beats.

Awfull shame about the Red Rooms like, love it & cant wait 2 get back up there.

Who knows, this indie night may well flop like a fish.

It opened 3 weeks ago.
Managed to get 350 for the first week.
Dropped 100 this week.
Lets see what happens on Friday.
Either way, thats me done with the place.

Every event i've been too at the red rooms has been near on full capacity, doesn't make sense why they would book an indie night that isn't guaranteed numbers when other events will. Its a class venue aswell.

indy is WELL popular with the student crowd - put cheap drinks on and your laughing. northumbria SU is under refurbishment at the moment, who knows if the normal nights will be running at full capacity once the students are back, they'll be looking for somewhere to go..

I think i'd best set the record straight about this.

The new night is a metal night.
The logic behind starting it was based on the carling academy pulling their weekly metal night 4 weeks ago.

Along with Jaunts regular residency in the venue, there were a whole string of quality events set to start in september.
Unfortunately, the greedy owner (incapable of waiting till september) along with another party (who will remain nameless at present) decided to set up and launch this rock night without any thought of consulting me (I've been running the bookings and making sure that the place doesn't disintergrate for nearly 2 years), leaving me in the enviable position of having to tell the promoters who were supposed to come on board that their plans had been scuppered.

After much feet stamping and dummy spitting I managed to get them to honour Jaunts pre-existing agreement, but other than that they're gonna see how the metal night pans out.

God knows who'll be dealing with the place if the rock night fails, but it certainly wont be me!

If for no other reason, i'll be going to this event because it might actually be the last time i'll be able to hear quality electronic music in what it reckon is possibly Newcastles last remaining unique venue.

Complete shame.
