    good enough for me...not the cheapest place to go

    i met 2 lasses in brazil who were 9 mths into a years travelling...they spent more in 8 days in japan than what they did in nearly 8 weeks in india :down:

    You could probably make that comparison between india and most western countries though.

    yeah true, I imagine it's probably because there is so little to do in india and travel is available by horse and cart only.

    possibly...but even cheap places to stay aren't that cheap. we had places to stay & occassionally hotels paid for us or it would've cost us a lot of dollar :)

    Chris - they have lots of trains in india :p

    so far all i have found out about the place is that it is on the coast and is home to the worlds longest suspension bridge :lol:

    the naruto bridge is a bit further towards shikoku island :)

    the naruto bridge goes over from the main island that has osaka, tokyo etc on it over to shikoku island. it has the naruto whirlpools :)

    dunno if chris is on about the same bridge i went over & then under to see the whirlpools tho.

    Hmm well thought i'd resurrect this as my trip is now booked :dance:

    12th August head over to Japan. Flying Emirates so change in Dubai. I'm there for a week so will probably just stay local....then off to Thailand for 12 days or so.

    Then back to Japan for 2 weeks, want to go to Hiroshima, Tokyo and Kyoto as EVERYBODY has said to go there.

    Then on the way home, 3 nights in Dubai and if all goes well i'll be staying in the 6 Star Jumeirah Beach Hotel...now thats pimpin'

    Home 24th September

    What to do in Thailand??
