I don't believe for a minute that somebody would fly to the other side of the world leaving two children behind when there was a remote chance that they may have cancer.

She hasn't been in the press for a while so there would've been a slight possibility that her cancer may have gone unnoticed. This is blatently a massive publicity stunt. Not saying she's lying but it's all a bit coicidential that she just so happened to be in front of a television camera the moment she was told that she had cervical cancer.

    a) Whats your point?

    b) Yes it is on a number of cases, even if it doesnt prove to be fatal , its still a massively traumatic thing for any person to go through.

    c) Step away from the keyboard and think about what youve done.

just to lighten the mood, cevical cancer has devasted my family. my gran had it and her 2 sisters - it killed them all. My mum had, it killed her. my 2 aunties had it and they've had to have hysterectomies, 1's clear at the moment, the other's undergoing chemo but the outlook is poor.

can't deny it's bad timing though.

Yes, the timing of the announcement looks somewhat dubious. But to be glad that she has it? I hope those of you that are never have to go through anything similar. I note it's mostly men - how would you feel about testicular cancer and having to lose one?

Mostly likely because no-one would buy it. She has made money from the chumps that will buy that kind of thing, fair play to her. I bet most people would if they had the chance. If you are going to blame anyone for her 'fame', blame the people who buy the papers, magazines, books and perfumes etc. They are the ones that put her where she is.

er, excuse me - but my mam would, and possibly myself to put on my bookshelf, giving me the total of about...2 books.

yes i agree to a certain extent, but if she does actually sell a story of her overwhelming woe over her cancer etc etc, she is really gaining money from a condition which kills many hundreds (thousands, millions?) of people a year, which obviously has the potential to wreck lives, families and relationships - and she is coming up trumps with her double page spread about her scary 'first day at hospital'.

    thats what i disagree with
