It becomes difficult when you lose it and have to fork out £25 or so

I dont think i should have to carry ID when i am 27, if i was 18/19 the fair enough but the fact of the matter is am nearly 10 years over the legal age limit to drink.

Plus if i lose me passport i am fucked and i lose me driving licence i would be as well even if its about £50 and £25 replacement i simply couldnt be chewed with the fuck on, not when i have holidays planned as well.

can't the staff in the supermarket be given a bit of discretion? surely they could say to them 'if you see someone who is very obviously over 21 then you don't have to ask them'
It just makes the staff look like idiots. And must make them so pissed off with their bosses.

I can only imagine that the person who asked that old bloke for I.D was just thick as shit.. anyone else would have just served him without a word.

A stop near me is using an over 25 rule now.. It's getting stupid. Kids are gonna be getting pissed for the rest of eternity so why bother to give a shit

I get I.D'd for drink all the time and as I'm 25 it does piss me off a bit when I've stupidly forgot to take it with me, but the one that got me the most was when me and my mate got I.D'd for some ciggarette papers. Nothing else, no baccy or tabs or anythng just little bits of feckin' paper.
Now if thats not stupid I dont know what is. I couldnt help laughing at how petty people can be. Despite having to walk all the way back to my house to get I.D just to roll a joint.

I don't believe you've never lost anything in your life. I had my wallet stolen a while ago.. and my bag a separate time both of which contained some form of cards and/or I.D.

I got Id'd in Morrisons, she said you have to look 25!

I understand Id'd, but how old do you expect someone under 16 to look these days. Its not like we live next to chenoble!

When I was working in a Youth Club I had to go to a meeting with the Police. My boss told me we needed drain cleaner for the club and I got asked for ID for at the Co-Op even though they knew I was a youth worker at the Youth Club across the road. Told my boss, and she had to get it herself, in which time there was an incident at the youth club. Coppers had been demanding that all the shops in the county (Northumberland, and especially around Wansbeck) be extra vigilant when selling anything 'age related'. It turned out that shops were also turning kids away when they tried to buy condoms, so northumberlands high sheriff against youth crime and county council chairman got stuck into the police, which was great to see.
