Well come on for the last year or even two the line ups have been predictable and boring as any Trance night in the UK. It was a great night in its day make no mistake but i for one am not sad to see it go if it means that there is rooom for a new more exciting and fresh night in Newcastle, hopefully not at foundations which imo is a hole

whats the point though? surely its clear by the falling numbers at the club that its not gonna be around forever. the club is opposite new flats, how long are the residents going to tolerate noise at 3 in the morning?

the turnouts for soul heaven, kissdafunk etc show that foundation has lost its appeal, even though it still is an awesome club.

it just proves once and for all that although people in this city crave choice in terms of good nights out, when they actually get that choice, they do fuck all about it.

digital has steamrollered everything in its path, and the honeymoon period will probably carry on for a while yet- foundation cant wait for that period to end can it??

the new flats are actually northumbria university halls though aren't they?

can't really see students kicking up that much fuss about being next to a club.

    R.I.P Promise

I've had some amazing times at promise, although l stopped going reguarly when it changed from Prog to Trance but still get nostalgic about it because all of the great times l've had there. (And l met my g/f on the dancefloor of promise and we are still together after 4 years)

I'll be down for the last one to send it off

Good luck in your new venture and thanks for the memories

    Peace
