I agree with brid, and i think its time for clubbing to go back to basics, but its a shame because i dont think their's enough true music fans in the northeast, nights live twisted, vuzz etc trancewise have booked some cracking djs but havn't had the attendances to match, people are more bothered about the venue and how many lazers it has than the music itself.

I think this definately leaves a big hole in the trance scene in the northeast, you never know tho, seeing some of the djs smaller nights have managed to book it would be nice to see one of them stick their necks out, or maybe get together and try for bigger things, i dont think there will be a better oportunity than this

Promise has been part of my life for the past 7 years, it is probably the most induvidual night in the uk, and nowhere else can match it for atmosphere, and look at the list of dj's from around the world that have said or would stand up and say it probably one of the best nights they have played

Once and still a shineing star amongst a sea of black and
the fox amoungst sheep promise has seemingly lost the battle to the bleated cries of the sheep of so called popular demand

what the hell do we do now?

really sad news Mark, unfortunatley though sometimes good things have to come to an end & sadly this is one of them!

the bitter knob has no clue really... nothing about promise has been a failiure from the nights to the board, just occasionally pricks come along & ruin it :)

I have met class people & made some good friends out of this board, had my heart broken by a board member & got some funy as fook photo's from promise nights...

sad to see both the night & the board going

will have to be getting some email addresses so i can keep in touch with peeps! :D
