Steve Bruce will want to leave Wigan if you offer him the job and the promise of funds and no interference. He built a great team at wigan but lost two of his best players in the January transfer window because theyre a small club thats overachieving because they have a good manager and decent chairman.

The stumbling block on getting Bruce in is that Ashley keeps making false promises and Still Dennis Wise is at the club.I hope yous dont get him though and hope Kinnear signs his new contract

The thing is, Steve Bruce has actually said he wants to manage Newcastle at some point in his career, as he is Geordie

    aye.
I think if the terms were right then i could see the mags getting Bruce in.

He has done an excellent job at Wigan, though really he has taken the club as far as they can go now imo. They will never push on any further than mid table, as arent a big enough club and as we are seeing now any decent players they have will be tempted away by the opportunity of playing in front of more than 12 fans every home game, and/or the chance to win any kind of honours.

As much as the toon are royally fucked at the moment, they have the potential there to become a much more successful side than Wigan could ever be, and for Bruce i could see the chance to rebuild his home town side being an attractive one - if he is backed properly by Ashley.

Knowing Newcastle though, he will be brought in and sacked/hounded out by the fans if he isnt challenging for europe and playing champagne football within a couple of months, and then back to square one it will be...
