it will be interesting what happens to their top players......... id expect the players to want to stay in italy but the clubs will want them to move abroad

the bigger players will probably leave, especially when you consider juve will spend 2 years out of the top flight unless there's a miracle lol
But i think with their pedigree and youth system they won't be in serie b for long :)

Hopefully this verdict will stand and they will not drop their arses once the appeals come flooding in.

the players should be ashamed as they had a part to play as they are the ones who have the most influence on the outcome of matches.

Also if I had a season ticket for one of these teams I would demand a refund for at least last season. This may seem unrealistic but how pissed off would you be paying 500 pound or so for a season ticket when the results in one way or another have almost been pre determined. Total Joke

fiorentina also have a 12point deduction with inter ,roma taking the automatic champions league places and palermo and chievo taking the qualifiers

Leece, treviso and messina avoid the drop and stay in serie a althou the latter are part of another trial which includes siena and another few teams

all the top men galliani ,de sanctis, giraudo, moggi carraro ,delle valle and lotiti have been banned from football from 1yr - 5yr bans

its not the players as they probably weren't involved...

apart from the keeper there's nothing really one player can do (apart from give away a penalty/get sent off) and it'd be too risky/not happen for them to get the whole team on board...

for the refs its another matter tho...

i dont think the players have much to do with it its about the referee's who moggi wanted allocated to juventus games who would favour them

there was also a bit about the fact the the rival clubs key players would be booked the week previous or sent off to prevent them playing against juventus thus weakening there team

if smog read the bit in the world soccer he'll know what i mean
