Good point especially when everyone who doesnt like trance so readily points out that the reason trance djs top the poll is because the polls a popularity contest (which it is) but then they say that trance is dead and not popular anymore
Answer to your question = Yes it is dead. Is this thread getting moved to the music forum? Yep! See ya over there!
haha exactly, its just those who get sick of it and move onto other things and like to look down on people for liking what they grew out of, these are the same sort of people who love a dj then when he gets big says he's shit just because the djs too big to fit into their back pocket now
its only been about 2 years since you were going out in full cyber etc, whats changed dramatically in them 2 years?
It was dying then less and less people were going to promise as the months went on...thats why it changed to monthly! You cannot argue that its not dead, at least not in Newcastle.
i first went to foundation on my 15th birthday and im 18 in 3 months so its 3 years actually :upyours:
its dead. theres one trance night in newcastle and thats on a wednesday night in the big market? Its dead. no disrespect at all to twisted.
haha your whole argument on the trance scene being dead is based on one club in Newcastle, come off it
Yeah so what? I WORE CYBER IN 2004 THEREFORE TRANCE IS NOT DEAD. What planet are you both on? I still go to the nights Im not acting like im too good for it I supported promise till the end and I go to twisted all the time but the nights are all slowly dying! Nobody can deny that And It was the start of 2004 you WANKERS
Trance in Newcastle as far as mainstream is concerned is dead. FACT. There isnt a single trance night in newcastle making money?
haha chris i think we've caught a bite, prize catch for this time of year im sorry like but the poll's show the story, more people voted this year for their favourite dj than ever before, and the top 3 djs were all trance djs, which means they're obviously the most popular unless you want to say something along the lines of, wel house fans just cant be bothered to vote
and hows the jazz cafe doing this time of year? we aren't talking about just Newcastle, the scene stretches outside of the north east of england lol
newcastle's jazz cafe is bot. if they put line ups on like londons then id be there everweek. Whats your point?
