thank you Dr Rob it's not an open and shut case mate yeah the first time i came on as you know who i was out for the giggle then when i signed up the second time (when no one knew who i was) i still got a barrage of "FUCK OFF" from the locals truth is you know and i know that this board is too cliquey for its own good and if you aint on the "in-crowd" g/list you have two choices
1 dont post reg just add the few comments here and there
2 post and ride out the tide of abuse given out all in the name of "craic" thinkin they'll get board soon

I agree that the mindless slagging off of someone is boring but I like this board because it has a really wide variety of people with all sorts of views from out and out racists to ultra PCers.
The fact that people can be pointless boring stupid and insensititive as well as incisive witty and generous is what makes it worth reading.
I think you need to be taken out of your comfort zone and this place is good for that.
In my everyday life I never encounter anyone who would spout an openly racist viewpoint and it's easy then to think that it is non existant. Reading peoples rants on here shows me another pile of peoples views that I would never otherwise hear. This is good
I think freedom of speech should be absolute. If people think it they should be able to say it. Then I have a chance to refute it. Or agree with it.
The board will live as long as there are people bothered to check it out.
