It is true about the changes at Digital. Wax On are moving to the first.

Gary, not sure what you have lined up but be v surprised if you will find a venue anywhere near as good as the Cosmic Ballroom in Newcastle.

I thought it was, I was confident enough to come out on here & say it but didnt want to say who it came from incase i got folk into trouble.

Like I say Danny Id love to be able to stay but you's boys have the 1st Friday of the month & Freaky the last so we have to move if we want to carry on & make a go of things. The Ballrooms isn't all that either, the Venues are out there, youv'e just got to look. The place we have for Jan is just a temporary place as the other Venue were hoping to have our residency are dragging their feet.

so it is moving venues then? I misread it, I thought

nope, they are on the first in december.

Gav waxon are going to be on 7th of december which is the first friday next month.


Any idea of what digital are going to be doing on the second friday of the month.

Is that going to be evolve.

It all seems really strange goings on to me.

I take it tuberlance will be staying on the last Friday of the month and not changing to the 3rd friday to clash with Curves.

I was hardly buming it like? The DJ booth is a MASSIVE improvement, yes & the new sound system is good.

However If the Ballrooms is the only other Nightclub in Newcastle that we can call "the next best venue" then as a City were struggling & a few need to spread their wings.

As far as im aware this is the proposed new 'shake up'

1st Friday of the month = Wax: on, which will put Habit out.

2nd Friday of the month = Evolve, which will put Junior:G out.

Last Friday of the month = Turbulence, which will put Freaky out.


Like I said earlier it would be easier to stay were we are but were not in a position unless were prepared to loose money. Ideally we'd change dates but Danny has the 1st & Gav has the last so we have to move, it's not an option for us at the minute?

Could Junior, Freaky and Habit not all just do a big switcheroo too? ie : Junior g 1st weekend, Freaky 2nd and Habit last?

Curves do the 3rd of the month and are doing very well so i doudt they would move.

You would be mad to do something in that area of the city.

Far to near to flats to have a bunch on munters milling around outside at all hours.Plus the sound from a decent rig will travel outside the squat.

We were at a free party two weeks ago in the city centre that lasted about 2 hours its not worth the risk.

Freaky and tuberlance being on the same nights is not so bad, techno and drum and bass are two different things with different crowds.

Just seems at the moment that the hype is not on the type of techno thats freaky is pushing.

As said before, we will not be moving.

Got some wicked guests booked up into next year and we would not move anyway. Quite confident we will be fine.

Just means we have to be more on our toes.
