    Mmm, because gay people never get any hassle do they? For fuck's sake, can't you handle a bit of winding up in a club? Try getting your head kicked in just for walking down the street, getting verbal abuse in a bar when all you've done is go in for a drink, being hounded out of your own house due to homophobic neighbours etc.

    There have always been gay people going to Shindig, it's just that most of you won't notice most of us - we don't have it tattooed on our foreheads you know! I don't expect that those gay people who do dress like that (there are only a few in Newcastle who do, and even then it's only once in a blue moon) would do for Shindig anyway.
