having been through some of the most gruelling interviews ever likely to be faced by anyone my advice would be -

if you are not sure what they are asking, clarify it first, before rambling on about something irrelevant
people employ people they like, show a little humility and the ability to laugh at yourself
admit to mistakes and short-comings, in your past, and on your cv, but explain how you dealt with them
finally don't be shy about your strengths, tell them how good you are at something, and back it up with evidence
