    hmmm, gotta admit I don't use it much but when I do it connects ok and doesn't d/c much.

    Freeserve I'm sure over sell their capacity too much which is why they keep d/c ing all the time.

    Sounds like we've had probs with all the dial-ups so I dunno what to suggest :spangled: BT payg dial-up maybe?

    Broadband is totally different technology to dial-up so saying BT Broadband is good means nowt when it comes to dial-up.

    use clara.net mate for dialup purposes if thats what u need.

    or pipex.

    dont bother with any others

    I am on pipex with my laptop
    for a small charge you can dial up from any phone line
    and not just the one you registered with
    so you can use your laptop and connect to the internet anywhere

    plus they dont tie you down to 12 month contract
