I bet a lot of em don't realise Promise exists, I didn't when I went to my first arena event! IMO people go to the arena events because its cool to go!

promise started playing far too much hard trance for people like me. however i would probably of still gone more often had i still lived in newcastle, but living in smogland it is more than just a taxi ride.

    Re: The numbers...

But the regualr users of the board numbers about 40.

All over the country, a lot come down from Scotland.

Of course. How many people (in Shields) know that Cream is at Nation or Crasher at the Republic?

    I agree!

The crowd in Newcastle now is a whole lot better than 3 years ago. It has come on in leaps and bounds.

3 years ago there where no cybers and no trance nights here.

Thats why people HAD to go to Sheffield.

Then we need to motivate the 1,086 other members from their coffins of laziness.

We need to data mine these people, at the next GK event. A vast majority of the crowd is still Newcastle based. These people need to be part of an ongoing database, so Promise can inform them of future events.

Probably myself, Sparkles and 8 others.

Thats a good point Mark. Cos 50% of their booking are house and 50% trance. So in effect theres only 4 clubnights a month in Boro. Newcastle was trying to manage 8.

Im dissapointed Promise couldnt at least manage fortnightly though.

Get in! Its about time Promise got new years eve instead of Shindig!

This has been a bit of a shock but like a lot of people, I cant afford to go every week anymore. Twice a month at the most is all I can afford nowadays, so Im gonna be there just as much as before.

i'm gutted to be losing my regular friday oot, but it's up to us now to make sure the 2 nights a month and the 3 special events are a success then, keep the scene strong in newcastle. Monthly events seem to be the most popular at the moment, hopefully Promise will be packed to the rafters each time.

Re: Re: Re: Re: The numbers...

I'm saddened by the fact promise is going monthly. I never have enough money to go on a regular basis, but the times I have been, it's been fantastic.

The last thing that promise or shindig need is the beer boys. TBH I think the whole thing is better without them. Leave them to baja / blu bambu / biggmarket... There are more people out there who appreciate shindig / promise... awareness about the place just has to be raised a bit :)

Why not do a promise mailing list like with shindig, to inform people of what's coming up in the months ahead?

I hope that this is only a phase and that the numbers pick up in the near future :)
