thats pretty much bull shit... theres usually fighting in the manningham/frizinghall area but not on any large scale or organised or anything...

    from my experience anyways.

most of the crime in that area isn't racially motivated its jus cos they're all sub-human low lifes :D

gibbet st (i think) in halifax a few years ago -

the road is in a densley populated area with a high proportion of that pakistani/bangladeshi households...

the asians on the road turn round one day and tell the white population of halifax that they are no longer welcome to enter the street and if they do there will be severe (violent) reprecusions...

the more 'active' of the white population agree to this demand... "as long as we dont come up your street, you can't come out - - EVER" the asians soon backed down their threats of violence..

might seem a bit extreme but its what happend.. not exactly to a t perhaps but near enough..

@terry - combat 18 esque groups are 'big' in huddersfield.. Huddersfield Young Casuals (football hooligans) where reguarly involved in organised racial clashes when i lived there..

    this stinks of bullshit...

google returned nothing of said street (the white sites would of loved this), tried all sorts of key combinations involving halifax and couldn't find any stories that even vaguely relating to it... u sure this aint just a NF urban myth?

through my - intelligent - friends that lived in halifax..

not sure how you spell the street - g(j)ibbet - its the yorkshire phrase for 'stocks' ie. where they exceuted the local hoodlums..

the road is notorious in west yorkshire for prostitutes which i presume was the reasons why the asians said what they did...

im going to sound patronising as fuck and i don't mean to be nor am i aiming this at anyone in particular, but you can't fully understand how racial tension works until you've experienced it first hand and lived in the areas where it really exists..

the north east is a white dominated area...

you can google and read whatever media you care to but until you have seen it and talked to the people it affects you cant really draw up a valid viewpoint..

the whites and the asians are as bad as each other... however it does grate me when i hear people nagging on or implying racism of this kind is a 'white problem'...

    nag over :p

Racism works everyway... i don't think anyone would ever argue otherwise... However as for your flipant comment about who can and can't comment on racism, I could just as easily say you can't comment on racism until you've been subject to it! Have you? I have ;)

But you have every right to comment on racism.... Everyone is entitled to an opinion!
