I am he doesnt just dj in Ikon he djs all over the place and rakes in £100.00 per night so i am proud of him

he must earn at least £200 a week... ben c would be jealous.

Anyone remember when it was the Ritzy?!?!?! We used to go at least once a month HAHAHAHA armed with our vouchers for a free bottle of 'champagne' for whoever's birthday it was that month!! AAAHHHHH the memories......

does anyone actually NO what is happening? i also heard liquid at the bigg market is going to be revamped into a ttonic like sunderland....not that a bar like ttonic suits the bigg market but its like pravda in newcastle was nice last time i was there but there sunderland bar is on chav central

some facts.

Liquid in the bigg market is a fucking dive and i any night the music is fucking bot.

Ikon is a mint venue.

as i know it the lad that promoted ikon has moved to the boat on a sat night with a mate of mine from bolton. he's part of rhythem FX ( cheesy bounce ) and they did a PA on the boat last week apparently the old ikon chaver night is being moved there so the ikon (whatever they rename) it is free for what ever nightstyle thay decide to have , the chavers will be at the boat . if ikon is a luminar owned venue then the refurb will be a top notch job and prob go into the more comercial style club rather than a specialist night such as R&B or trance , they dont like to gamble their millions on sub culture .

That really isn't much at horrible cheesy places like that, given the amount they're raking in. Most DJs at the likes of Ikon will be on at least double that.

I HAVE IT ON GOOD AUTHORITY THAT IKON IS ACTUALLY GOING TO BE THE NEW HOME OF THE LEGENDS ROCK NIGHT. NOW I CAN SAY THAT THIS WAS TOLD TO ME IN 1997 WHEN THE MAYFAIR WAS SHUTDOWN. SO IT AINT GONNA TURN INTO A RNB CLUB CAUSE THATS GASH.

Its been bought by Luminar group who do a lot of stuff in boro, the refurb is incorporating the bar on the front, as well as a lot more space toward the back of the club which is not used / seen at the minute. From what I know it will be split into several different rooms, imaginatively named Studio 1, 2, 3,4 and 5, which will house different kinds of music on different nights. Studio 1 will be the main room and will more than likely be based around dance music.
