got into it from going to raves put on at youth centres by older friends.. then 1st time actually went to a club, was the infamous colliseum in norton  ;)

then progressed into becoming a regular @ the empire for many years.. now i really don't have a clubbing home, but i consider promise my adopted clubbing home :)

Err.... I'm not saying I'm an old git, but I was there first !

Gotta go back to those early early days of dance music - C & C music factory, Snap, Chicago house and Acieed!

    Yes.... I'm an old git.........

Especially since I dont just remember them - I was DJing and playing them in clubs! eeek !!!

My first 'proper' clubbing experience I think was Sound City at the Arena back in Oct '98, anyone else go? After visiting the Empire a few times decided to see what all the fuss was about.....and I've never looked back!!!!!!!!! Was totally amazed by the atmosphere and little things like how far people have travelled...I must have spoke to just about everyone but that was maybe because I had also tried something else for the first time that night ;)

After that went to Godskitchen at the Sanctuary twice in three weeks (the Sanctuary was much better than Code btw!!!) and then went to GC for NYE '98/'99. After that went to GC at least twice a month throughout '99 and '00 and would consider these times to be the most successful clubbing period ever in the UK....IMHO!!! I did visit other clubs but nothing came anywhere near GC!!

Trance Nation 1 got me into Decent Music and to be honest there aint alot of albums that will beat that - in fact theres none IMO its just class..

The first decent club i went to after doin the Ikon/Legends of Newcastle was Foundation for Shindig (ohh how ive changed ehh ) n then i moved onto Gatecrasher where now ive been about 10 times - the rest of the Uk ive been to Godskitchen only the once, Sugarshack a few times and festivals ive been to Creamfields / GCSSS / GKGG. Abroad having went to Ibiza last year i went to Eden x 2 for Judgement Sunday, GK @ Amnesia n Manumission which is an experience n a half tho not so good when ya walkin the 9 miles back coz the fookin taxi cue was as much use as a chocolate fireguard :p ;)

started goin to raves during the early years of Prodigy, Shamen and Altern8 etc. still had a love of rock thru me dad and started listening to metal and alt stuff to, e.g. Nirvana, Pearl Jam, etc. By the time I got to uni I had just shaven off my long blonde locks but still listened to rock. However there were 4or5 djs in my halls at uni and i had always been fascinated by ixing dance music. started going clubbing with them, learnt to mix and the rest, as they say, is history.

7 years later and i often wonder where i'd be now if it wasn't for 2 cockneys and a lad from cullercoats who showed me the ways of the dance world by taking me to places such as Back2Basics, The Warehouse and Up Yer Ronson.

    Thanx boys!

Started going to shindig just before Riverside shut, then went halfs on some decks with a mate and while he was mixing hip hop i started to mix house, then started getting well into the different tunes and styles, wasnt till then till i started going clubbing more often.
